Prom style

Running greatness

Popped into the gym today after not going for 3 days, I was kind of dreading it. After a break I typically dont push myself all that hard.

Today I decided to run full miles.
Heres what it looked like today . . .
walk @ 3.3 for .10
jog @ 4.8 for 1 mile
walk @ 3.3 for .30
jog @ 4.8 for 1 mile
walk @ 3.3 for .40
jog @ 4.8 for .30

Total . . . out of 3.1 miles I run for 2.30 miles . . . I think thats a great thing.
Total time : 43:35 . . . its getting less and less . . . yey me!

OK so I need to incorporate more strength training, any suggestions please feel free to lay them on me :)

Not the best

I'm so not feeling good today, but I'm about to head into work and fake the fact that I dont want to be there. :)

I counted down and there are (including today) 33 days left of school. Within those 33 days all these things need to be accomplished.
1. Spaghetti dinner
2. Prom
3. Fieldtrip with me and 13 students (oy vey)
4. Open house at school
5. Awards night
6. Appreciation week (that i need to set up)
7. community service project
8. IEP meeting (run by me)
9. newsletters for JHS and HS (that I need to put together and send out)
10. Annual meeting
11. MN zoo fieldtrip with all HS students
12. NWEA testing
13. SAT 10 testing
14. last day of school fieldtrip
15. school carnival
16. graduation
17. grade completion

That factors out to be about one thing every other day . . . granted about 1/2 of those are things that occur after school hours . . . I hate the last few weeks of school and how busy they become :(

Bagels . . . YUM!

I havent blogged in a REALLY REALLY long time, but I'm back :)

Decided to start this off right with a recipe that I've tried. I faithfully read a blog online that I highly suggest to everyone . . An Epic Change . . . its really good and she provides awesome recipes that I force my family to try on a regular basis.

Anyway so I attempted to make these bagels :)
Plain Bagels

 3rd time I was able to use my beautiful mixer and I still LOVE it . . . wouldn't trade in for the world.
 Dough preperation . . . my beautiful mixer at work. My mixer needs a name . . . Marj, after my grandma :)
 bagel prep . . . making the formation. This included alot more more than anticipated. The whole prep was about an hour and a 1/2 of work.
And the final product. Minus one because I was hungry :)

Little butter or jam and it makes a perfect little snack . . . tastes great and sooo many less calories than the big chains offer.










New little update about my exercising. I havent gone in a week, and I'm not motivated to go. Ooops.
However I have decided that everytime I get on a treadmill i will not get off until I complete 3.1 miles. And I'm going to track the time in hopes that it gets less and less as the months go along.

Thursday night . . . my 3.1 miles took me 45:15 . . . kinda long :( . . . oy vey it'll be hard work.

Holy Vegetables Batman

What to write . . . what to write . . .

Today and yesterday were super productive . . . no one can say I wasted my spring break away . . . heres what I've done this week (just so you know)
1. Cut my hair
2. Found a good chinese food option
3. lost weight
4. Trained (twice)
5. Ran/walked 16 miles
6. rearranged my living room
7. got an oil change
8. managed to eat crap :)
9. rearranged my bedroom
10. washed my dishes

Ten things, I'm awesome (and its only Thursday)

So I didnt make food last night, I think I had taco salad . . . tonight i have some friends over and we made a pizza, pretty sure while we were making it i might have said "holy vegetables, batman"

Each friend had 1/3, I didn't eat all mine, but it was delicious! I piled on as many veggies as I could and was suprised at how little cheese I needed.

Day 6: Post a picture of someone you'd like to trade places with for a day.

As hard as this was (because my list was sooo long, lol) I picked Mary Alice, shes the manager of Charm City Cakes. I think it'd be cool to be her for one day, not only because I think Duff is the cutest baker out there, but also because it would be cool to see how that bakery runs for a day.

This is the one thing I can say I own and he depends totally upon me and the care that I give him (other than the care that my mother and father give him)




I didnt workout today . . . its a day off :) Happy Times!

loser!!!

I'm not ashamed to say that I have decided to weigh myself weekly and really take note of what I've been eating recently . . . due to the fact I want to lose a certain amount of weight by June 3 (or something like that).

So this last week I really really tried hard and really really held to portion sizes and calories and how much I'm puttin in my mouth and what I'm doing and lifetime, and it really paid off. I was able to loose weight and I'm so happy :)

i went to dinner with my mother yesterday so i didnt make my dinner, however I had potato soup (eh, wasnt that good, i ate 1/2) and a house salad (that was actually pretty good).

What I did: 
2 mile elliptical
5k (MUST note, i was able to jog for 2 miles of this out of the 3.1 miles :) )
90 minutes in the gym: 850 calories burned

Day 5: Take a photo of your favorite memory.

When I thought about favorite memory the first thing that came to mind was hanging out with two really close family friends when I was little. I found this picture of my brother's b'day party and other than the red head (dont know who she is) but the 5 of us was a very typical sight for a picture. me, april, jason, tyrone, JJ . . . the 5 of us always hung out and I loved every moment of it. It was really mostly me and April trying to hang out with the boys while they tried to ditch us though.  I *heart* my childhood friends.

Good Day ;)

First day of break proved to be a good day :)

Heres what I accomplished:
- Wake up
- Shower
- Work out (and personal train)
- visit friend
- get hair cut
- eat chinese (but only 1/2)
- go to Patina (very cute store)
- walk dog
- blog :)

Heres how the hair looks :)





This is a week of transition,
so I'll attempt to post each transition.






What I did:
1 mile elliptical
training
1 mile sprinting (15 minutes)
1 mile uphill/downhill walk
total calories burned: 750

What I ate:
Tonight went to Cleveland Wok with a friend . . . Delicious!
Bok Choy and Fried Tofu in garlic sauce
white rice
vegetarian egg rolls
(the pic I'm posting, is the left over . . . forgot to take a pic when it first arrived)



Next Up:
Day 4: Take a pic of a bad habit you have.


Bad habit I have is leaving my dishes to pile up before I break down and wash them. These are not my dishes, but thats often what my sink looks like at the end of two weeks :).

YEY for Sunday

Today has been a super productive day (well thus far) I may have to add to this post once I'm finished.
Its about 5p and I"ve been able to do the church thing, nap, workout and soon i'll be hitting up the grocery store, making dinner, making cookies, and possibly even rearranging my living room. That last one might be a little too over optimistic :)

What I did:
I'm still workin on the whole running a 5k thing so . . .
5k on tread mil (1.8 miles jogged, 1.2 miles walked)
2 miles elliptical
1 hr at the gym . . . 650 calories burned
so i think i need to amp things up, normally when i jog i feel like death, but today wasnt so bad, which is a good thing :)

April how lovely is your weather

Today was seriously B-E-A-Utiful outside . . . i took my pup out for a 1/2 hour walk, aside from him getting all muddied up it was fun times with Adler (the neighbor dog).

Ok so not much today today . . . it was hard eating today, found myself hungry the whole day and I picked at everything. Eating is hard (well not really hard, but trying to restrict eating is hard)
For dinner I had a taco salad . . . it was mmm mmm good :)

Day 2: Take a photo of you and the person you've been closest to for awhile.
I picked my mother because out of this whole world shes the one person I can pick that no one can get mad at me for choosing. And I picked her because shes probably someone who knows most of my secrets (if not all) and will support whatever decision I make, when I make the wrong one she always finds a way to put a positive spin on it and not make me feel like a dumba**.

I do truly *heart* my mother.

Plus shes so photogenic that I had to post this pic, its my favorite picture of all time.

(for yesterday :) )

To be perfectly honest I complained about working out for 7 days in a row then yesterday came along and I didnt work out at all and I felt bad. No reason to feel bad just felt that I should have attempted to make it into Lifetime at some point. I'm so weird . . . when I gotta go I dont wanna, and when I dont gotta I wanna . . .

Yesterday I didnt make my own meal. I ended up eating out with some friends . . . these are images of foods I ate :(, dont hate me.





So I decided to do this 30 day photo thing on Facebook so I decided I would do it on here also :)
